Constipation in dogs and cats as in man is generally due to dietary reasons, in which your pet is or is not eating is causing the constipation. But there could be other factors as well.
A lack of fibrous diet can be a leading cause in the constipated condition of your dog or cat.

Intake of less fluids and water might also be a contributing factor. Ingested foreign bodies like bones, rocks, garbage or other materials can disturb or interfere in your dog's digestion. Other causes that could be included are lack of exercise, worm infestation, and underlying medical problems.

Prolonged constipation in dogs and cats can lead to grave gastrointestinal (GI) problems, including a condition known as mega-colon in which your dog and cat is not able to expel feces efficiently. Luckily, there is effectual treatment accessible.

Causes of constipation

1. Your dog or cat might have eaten something leading slower bowel movements
2. Your dog or cat might be drinking less water or taking less fluid.
3. Your dog or cat might not be doing enough physical activities.
4. Your dog’s or cat's hair in the anal canal might be interfere in the passing of stools

1. Triphala – Triphala, although not an herb in itself, is one of the premium herbal combinations. It is a mixture of three prestigious herbs Amalaki, Bhibitaki and Haritaki in equal proportions.
