Distemper

Distemper is a viral infection that affects pets very often. The derivation of the word distemper is from the Middle English distemperen that means to distress the balance of the humors. Canine distemper is a paramyxo virus that appears very comparable to the paramyxo virus grounding human measles. The distemper virus in the canine can influence a wide range of organs including the skin, brain, eyes, intestinal and respiratory tracts.   1. Keep away from contact with raccoons, foxes, skunks and other infected animals
  2. Make sure that your pet is eating a balanced diet with plenty of raw and natural food.
  3. Keep away from contact to toxins and chemicals as much as possible
  4. Regular work out will help to keep your pet vigorous and fit.

Treatment of Distemper

There is no doubt that Canine Distemper is a serious illness. According to conventional veterinarian doctors, about half of the affected pets having this infection die. Those that endure will often be left with incapacitating conditions like everlasting digestive problems, neurological troubles, seizure, deformities of the paw pads, etc.

According to modern veterinarian science, Distemper is untreatable and treatment is only symptomatic.

Vaccination programs against Canine Distemper have made this viral disease less frequent in current age. Though, holistic vets point out that there are grave concerns about the insight of routine immunization and its long term effect on the health of pets.
