Though how much we keep our pets away from hard ships and rough environment, they have natural tendencies to go in that environment. They love to climb walls, walk on rough surfaces and rocks and run on uneven surfaces. Your pet may often walk over rocks, soil, thorns and snow even if they are confined to your yard. Basically this is there natural tendency.
Contrasting to humans, our pets do not have foot protection in the form of shoes and even though their paws and pawpads are much stronger than our feet, yet they do sometimes experience cuts, wounds, bruises cracks and even burns. You should check and care for your pets’ paws frequently to treat any injuries and avert infections.
If our pet gets injury, then some treatment measures are to be taken. In ayurveda we have so many methods by which we can heal there injury.
Below are some of the ayurvedic herbs that are very helpful in this purpose.
Khadir (Acacia catechu) – This herb is one of the greatest herbs in treating various skin related disorders. It being cool in potency is very helpful in suppressing any kind of skin allergy and infections. Acacia catechu is the herb that is being used to treat skin rash and also is a good disinfectant.
Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) - The juice of the coriander or dhaniya leaves mixed with some turmeric (haldi) is usually given to a patient who suffers from skin diseases and ringworm infection. It is also helpful if the skin becomes very dry and develops ringworm, particularly in the cold season.
Chitrak (Plumbago zeylanica) - A combination of the leaves of leadwort or chitrak is made into a paste with salt and water. This blend is directly applied on the affected part. This herb is beneficial even for the extremely stubborn injuries and wounds.
Neem (Azadiractha indica) – It is commonly known as the neem tree in Indian sub-continent. It is one of the finest treatments for ringworm and is used widely in Ayurvedic medicine. It is used in varied ways for both internal and external administration.
